The body butter that everyone seems to be talking about. Made from a combination of pasture raised, chemical free tallow, organic coconut oil, sweet almond oil, extra virgin olive oil and a hint of lavender - this is what smooth skis is made of.
We start with the finest tallow a happy cow can produce. We source the tallow from one of the very best all natural butchers in America, and refine it ourselves. The happy cows from the Hudson Valley are fed no ati-biotics, steroids, GMO feed or any other chemicals. They are allowed to graze open pastures eating natural grass - living the good life. Why should you care? It makes a big difference. The fat we derive our tallow from needs to be free of all of those chemicals to ensure it provides you with the highest vitamin count possible.
Pure beef tallow is known to be 50 - 55% saturated fat - just like you skin. That means it is absorbed easily and does not leave a greasy residue. Also, this tallow contains Vitamins A, D, K & E and contains potent anti-inflammatory conjugated linoleic acid (CLA).
Then we add in coconut oil - long known to the Pacific Islanders as a one stop cure all miracle ointment used for almost anything. Coconut oil has been used as a skin moisturizer and can help in blocking harmful UV rays. It can also help in treating various skin problems including psoriasis, dermatitis, eczema and other skin infections.
Up next is almond oil, sweet almond oil to be exact. A few drops of raw almond oil a day acts as a natural skin-nourishing agent and is ideal for the entire body. Almond oil like tallow and coconut oil is easily absorbed and won't clog pores promoting clear, soft, healthy skin.
We would be remiss if we didn't mention the all natural extra virgin olive oil added as a final step to help give them cream it's shine and protect the skin. We top it all off with a touch of lavender essential oils to give our body butter a fresh calming scent.
You can eat this body butter - can you say that about anything else in your medicine cabinet or other beauty products. Our customers use this for diaper rashes, treating eczema, for dry chapped hands and for super soft skin.
